Why Become an OMA member?

With the variety of health care issues facing Oregon right now, it is a critical time for physicians and their patients. The Oregon Medical Association (OMA) invites you to get involved in organized medicine and become a member. You can make a difference by joining together with your fellow colleagues, united with one common, powerful voice.

What is OMA doing for doctors?

  • Taking an active stance on public health issues. OMA participates in multiple coalitions that tackle public health issues ranging from child health and safety to health disparities to pandemic preparedness. It's a key part of our mission and vision for a healthy Oregon. Have an issue you care about? Join the OMA and find out how you can get involved.
  • Helping to reduce administrative headaches and save our members money. Each day, OMA staff interfaces with public and private payers, working to resolve reimbursement and other issues on our members' behalf. We also provide tools and resources to assist practices in complying with ever-changing government regulations.
  • Inviting our members to take part in hard conversations. Is health care a right? Is single-payer reform the answer? Will medical homes improve the system? These questions are shaping our profession in Oregon now, and OMA members are encouraged to voice their opinions and help shape OMA policy in response.

What's missing? You. Join now and add your voice.
