E-Prescribing Federal Incentive Programs – Ambulatory Practice Tip Sheet
This tip sheet describes federal incentive opportunities from the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act, the Medicare Electronic Prescribing incentive that was announced in 2008, and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act that was signed into law in February 2009, which includes federal stimulus funding for electronic health record incentive programs.
The OMA, along with other state medical associations, the AMA and the state of Oregon, will monitor developments and determine how best to help our members implement new technology and take advantage of federal and state incentive programs. Check this site often for updates.
