Presidential Citations

The Presidential Citation(s) are presented to an individual or individuals who have gone above and beyond the call of duty in service to the OMA.

 

Andris Antoniskis, MD |

Andris Antoniskis, MD graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center  and is board certified in both internal and addiction medicine. He served as the medical director for Providence’s Chemical Dependency program for 33 years. He is a past president of the Oregon Society of Addiction Medicine, a distinguished fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine, and a past president of the OMA, having served from 2006-2007. Dr. Antoniskis served the OMA with distinction as the Chair of the Methamphetamine Task Force and Co-chair of the Substance Use and Pain Care Task Force. He was a long-serving member and past chair of the Finance and Audit Committee, represented the OMA on the Oregon Opioid Prescribing Guidelines Workgroup, and was a long-standing member and past chair of the Professional Consultation Committee.



David Lindquist, MD |

David Lindquist, MD graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School and interned at OHSU. From 1977 through 2013 he worked in Emergency Services at Willamette Falls Hospital Emergency Department in Oregon City where he was Board Certified in Emergency Medicine. During those years he served as Medical Staff President, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hospital, and Chair of the Hospital Foundation. He served as Clackamas County Medical Society President, as OMA President from 2000-2001, and he is a lifetime member of the American Medical Association. Dr. Lindquist was an active and vital member of the OMA having served on several committees and as the association’s parliamentarian. In addition, he served on the Oregon Medical Education Foundation Board.
